The Many

Cultural institutions throughout Germany have joined together to form the alliance of DIE VIELEN (THE MANY). The Museum Brandhorst is among the initial signatories and supports the alliance of THE MANY. THE MANY have set themselves the goal of reflecting the diversity of our society and therefore take up topics such as dialogue, freedom, pluralism and equality. Our declared goal as a museum is to be open to all people regardless of their national origin, skin color, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation or worldview.

For further information on the Bavarian Declaration of THE MANY and a list of the signatories, please see:

The Collection

More than 1,200 works of art span an arc from the 1960s to the present. Highlights such as the world's most extensive collection of works by Cy Twombly, the largest collection of Andy Warhol's works in Europe, outstanding groups of post-modern works and international positions in contemporary painting are waiting to be explored.
