DEAR VISITORS,
the first major retrospective of Gillian Wearing’s œuvre in Germany showcases untill July 7 photographic works and film installations. Nine exhibition rooms provide an overview of her work to date and convey its specific aesthetic qualities and characteristic artistic strategies. Ab 06. Juni zeigt das Museum Brandhorst in ausgewählten Räumen im Erdgeschoss in zwei Präsentationen Arbeiten von Ed Ruscha. Im Zentrum der Schau „Bücher & Bilder“ stehen drei großformatige Neuerwerbungen, die durch Bildobjekte und zwölf kleinere Gemälde ergänzt werden. Die parallel laufende Präsentation „Books & Co“ zeigt eine Auswahl von Büchern, die Ed Ruscha seit den 1960er Jahren selbst produziert und verlegt hat. Weitere Informationen finden Sie hier.
A room installation by the American artist Cady Noland that has never been exhibited before is on view in the Sculpture Room. In addition to this work entitled „Deep Social Space” Noland’s „Tanya as a Bandit” is shown for the first time too, both of which were created in 1989.
