About us
The Museum Brandhorst was opened in 2009 and is therefore the youngest institution of the Bavarian State Painting Collections. Since its opening, the museum has become one of the central venues for contemporary art in Germany. The collection and the program of the museum focus on an in-depth research on individual artists and an intensive examination of relevant topics in the visual arts.
