Description

During the Long Night, the Brandhorst Museum invites you on a journey through the history of technology and the body. With more than 100 works and several large-scale installations by about 60 artists—primarily from Europe, the United States, and Japan—the exhibition "Future Bodies from a Recent Past" focuses on the major technological changes since World War II and their influence on our ideas of the body. How has the relationship between humans and technology changed over the last 70 years? What effects does this have on the perception of our body? Explore it with your own senses: Many interactive works invite you to see, touch, hear and taste.

18.00 – 24.00: Art Information

What is the exhibition "Future Bodies from a Recent Past" actually about? What materials are the sculptures made of? How many light bulbs light up in Atsuko Tanaka's "Electric Dress"? And what do they mean? The art information desk will answer all your questions about the works on display on the ground floor and in the basement of the Museum Brandhorst. Our art educators are always available to answer questions and offer suggestions to take a closer look at the works. Art can fascinate, confuse, inspire. We’d love to know how you experience our exhibition.
