Description

TELL STORIES!

Stories have always served as a means to familiarize ourselves with the past, but also with possible future developments. Through stories we can ask ourselves questions such as: “What if…?” or “Imagine if there were…?” Together we will delve into the photographs in the exhibition “This Is Me, This Is You. The Eva Felten Photo Collection.” We will get to know the people depicted and their surroundings. While chatting in front of the artworks, our very own individual ideas will already start to emerge.

Inspired by this, you will develop your own story, which you photograph with your smartphone or in one of our iPads. You don’t need to be able to take super photos in order to create an exciting picture story. In this workshop you will learn how to combine pictures and text to create your own story.

The workshop will be run by art historian and educator Dr. Barbara Dabanoğlu. She wrote her doctoral thesis on Cy Twombly’s sculptures and was a research assistant in the art education department at Museum Brandhorst during the exhibition project “Future Bodies from a Recent Past.” She has developed numerous analog and digital workshop formats, and also conceived the inclusive youth project “Kunstlinge” for the Pinakotheken.
