Description

In the exhibition “Nicole Eisenman. What Happened,” we engage with the giant figures in the artist’s “Procession” (2019) sculpture group. All of her figures tell their own story. We will explore them together and talk about what they trigger in us. And then we take it a step further. What if the artworks could come to life?

In the Factory room we will create our own three-dimensional figures. Then we will experiment with simple robotic elements by placing our figures on motor-driven devices. By means of an application they can be put into moving emotional states. How can emotions be represented in motion? Can figures be made to speak through movement alone?

The workshop will be run by art educator Janina Rüger.
