Description

AWAKENING CHARACTERS

A character from your favorite artwork in the exhibition “Nicole Eisenman. What Happened” suddenly comes to life, and you play the lead role. We invite you to empathize with your favorite characters and step into their shoes.

How would they act and express their feelings? How would they address the public? We will create short videos using green screen and facial filters, offering a range of creative ways to disguise and transform ourselves. How much needs to be real here and what merely needs to be stated? What identities can I adopt?

The workshop will be run by Rupert Jörg. He studied media art and education at the Academies of Fine Arts in Munich and Vienna. In his artistic work he examines media changes and analyzes their effect on social structures. His work in art education is consequently media-critical, with a focus on the mechanisms of influenceability and the question of how these effects are achieved.

ABOUT THE KIDS’ FACTORY

The Kids’ Factory is an offer for you kids. Every Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. you can get creative there according to your mood. Changing techniques and themes entice you to take part in varied and age-appropriate artistic activities. Whether drawing, painting, using different printing techniques or dancing, whether analog, digital or hybrid—we will take you into the world of colors and shapes and appeal to your imagination and creative spirit. Please bring your parents along to accompany you. You can join in at any time.

MORE FACTORY

You’ll find many more programs for children and families at the museum, as well as fun creative projects to do at home, in our digital creative lab: Factory.
