This workshop invites you to gain new perspectives on materials and their potential. We will create our own works using recycled material from 3D printers. We will breathe new life into leftovers and misprints, resulting in collages, assemblages or entire miniature worlds. Classic collage materials such as wire, fabrics and photos can be combined or painted.

The workshop will be run by Rupert Jörg. He studied media art and education at the Academies of Fine Arts in Munich and Vienna. In his artistic work he examines media changes and analyzes their effect on social structures. In this context, he has recently focused on the phenomenon of conspiracy myths. He is also interested in the problem of appropriation and the question of authorship in an increasingly virtual world. His work in art education is consequently media-critical, with a focus on the mechanisms of influenceability and the question of how these effects are achieved.

Every second Thursday evening from 6 to 7.30 p.m., the free drop-in format “Silver Factory” provides the right setting for teenagers and adults to get creative. Inspired by Andy Warhol’s famous studio, the Silver Factory, various different techniques and themes entice us to take part in varied artistic endeavors across all media. Whether drawing, painting, using different printing techniques or dancing, whether analog, digital or hybrid, come by and be transported into the world of colors and shapes in a relaxed atmosphere.

You will find many other programs in the museum as well as information about the artists and artworks in the collection in our digital creative lab: Factory.
