Description

MOVEMENT ON AND NEXT TO THE PAGE – AND BEYOND THE EDGES!

How can I playfully and creatively make visible what moves and touches me? How can I paint with my body? And how can I paint exactly as I feel?

The workshop invites artists of all ages to encounter themselves and others in a new way. With the help of creative movement tasks, we make visible what our bodies carry hidden within them. There are no limits to color, shape or size, and no previous experience is necessary—all that is needed is a bit of curiosity and a willingness to experiment!

The workshop will be run by Domenica Ewald. She is a dance and arts educator, interdisciplinary artist, and yoga teacher. She studied theater studies with a focus on dance, as well as American studies at the Ludwig-Maximilians University Munich and completed the M.A. program “Arts and Learning” at Goldsmiths University in London in 2022. For several years she has worked as a dance and art educator with various artists, theaters, museums and schools, including Museum Brandhorst.

THE OPEN FACTORY

Every Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m., the intergenerational drop-in format “Open Factory” provides the right setting to get creative with the whole family or with friends. Changing techniques and themes entice you to take part in varied artistic projects, and to stroll through the exhibitions. Whether drawing, painting, using different printing techniques or dancing, whether analog, digital or hybrid—we will take you into the world of colors and shapes and appeal to your imagination and creative spirit.
