Description
CAPTIVATED BY BLOSSOMS
During a visit of the works by Cy Twombly, we will gather impressions and ideas for the depiction of flowers and blossoms. Then we will use three different techniques to conjure up our own flower pictures.
Cyanotype is a form of photographic print without a camera. An object is placed on a piece of paper that has been coated with photosensitive solution and then exposed to light. The shadows of the positioned object create an image or print. We then work on this shadow image using watercolors, and complete it with drawing. In this way, we playfully create enchanting flower still lifes in the tradition of nature illustration. The workshop is run by the artist Tabitha Nagy.
