Description
FILM EVENING
Join us on a movie journey and get to know two of the greatest artists of the 20th century: Keith Haring and Andy Warhol! Together we will watch films from their time that were made about them or by them. Find out what characterized and connected the two!
Keith Haring and Andy Warhol met in 1984 in a gallery in New York, USA. Although Andy Warhol, then 56 years old, and Keith Haring, 26, belonged to different generations, they had a lot in common. Both changed the way art was understood. They lived and worked in New York. A vibrant city that has always allowed artists to explore and express what art can be.
After watching the films together, we will then discuss them. How did we perceive the two artists? What do we think about the time in which they lived? What characterizes them?
YOUTH CLUB
Once school is over, head to the museum: every Thursday from 5:30 p.m., the youth club offers you a space to engage critically and creatively with contemporary art and the museum. Take a look behind the scenes of the museum: meet staff, make contacts with other visitors, expand your network, exchange ideas, get to know the collection, get creative yourself and much more!
The following formats take place on alternate weeks: "The museum presents…", "Space for us" and the "Silver Factory" workshops, where you can try out artistic techniques for yourself! No museum experience or previous knowledge is necessary, just bring your curiosity.
If you have any questions, you can find out more about the youth club here.
