Description

Alexandra Bircken (born in 1967) uses different materials in her works, most of which come from non-artistic uses. Shape, color and not least the composition from wildly different sources influence the impression the works leave. The exhibits may be grasped only by means of eyes and speech. To emphasize the importance of the materials, we have devised a tactile tour. Using materials from the artist’s studio, we lead you to different stations in the exhibition, give an intensive description of the works and the surrounding space, and then let you feel the properties of the materials.
