Description
Since the museum opened, the Brandhorst Collection has grown considerably. Many works deal with the social conditions of our (Western) world and trace the sources of inequality and exclusion, for example. At the turn of the year, we want to look for and discuss precisely those works that give us clues as to where change is necessary. This time, "The Eternal in the Now" deals with the guiding principle in constant change. With works by Arthur Simms, Pope.L and Aaron Gilbert.
In the series "The Eternal in the Now", art history and theology meet in front of a work of art. This encounter results in a creative dialogue in which the audience is also involved. Before the talk, there will be a half-hour musical interpretation of the topic in the neighbouring St. Mark's Church.
