Description

No one can escape the rapid pace of mechanization and digitalization. Technology determines our lives; many things seem to have become more comfortable, easier and more networked. Machines take over unpopular jobs. But who will make the decisions in the future in the interaction between humans, machines and AI? What impact will mechanization have on us?

Based on the artworks in the exhibition, the critical guided tour explores our ambivalent relationship with “technical progress.”

Following different themes, we invite you every Thursday and Saturday to join us for a one-hour tour of the special exhibition “Future Bodies from a Recent Past—Sculpture, Technology, and the Body since the 1950s.” The tour is included in the price of admission.

The art education program accompanying the special exhibition "Future Bodies from a Recent Past" was developed as part of “dive in. Programme for Digital Interactions” of the Kulturstiftung des Bundes (German Federal Cultural Foundation) with funding by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media (BKM) through the NEUSTART KULTUR programme.

The program was also generously supported by PIN. Freunde der Pinakothek der Moderne e.V.
