Places carry stories. The exhibition and intervention project “Carrying” is about this reciprocal relationship. We invite you to learn more about it on a tour through the Museum Brandhorst and its immediate surroundings. Historical power relations and war events are still palpable in the cityscape today and shape our perception. Specific places and artworks, as well as their names and attributions, are questioned and reactivated by international artists of several generations using various media. On our tour, we open the dialogue and discuss the structures that emerge in the process. Which stories are told in what way and by whom?
