Description
SEEING EARS AND HEARING EYES
Inspired by a wide variety of musical instruments, we build soundscapes from recycled materials such as 3D print remnants, wood and metal. We can digitize, sample and remix the sounds of the instruments we build ourselves using tablets. You can then create your own pieces of music from the collected sounds. There is also the opportunity to collect sounds in the museum. You can then incorporate these sounds and soundscapes into your pieces of music.
The workshop will take place in the ticket-free area in the Factory room (lower level) and will be run by artist Rupert Jörg. He studied media art and art education at the Academies of Fine Arts in Munich and Vienna. In his artistic work, he deals with changes in the media and analyzes their effect on social structures. His art education work is consequently media-critical, with a focus on the mechanisms of influenceability and the question of how these effects are achieved.
