Description
The photo series "You Are the Weather" by Roni Horn (*1955 New York) was created in Iceland in the early 90s. It fills an entire room on the upper floor of the museum. We look into the face of a bather, which reflects the weather through the eyes, facial expressions and light reflections.
The artist said of the sitter that her "emotional expression – she looks irritable, angry – was actually caused by the weather. (…) When you're in a room with her, it feels like you've provoked these reactions: you're going to be the weather."
Our guided tour enables an intensive examination of the relationship that can arise between us and the work of art.
