Description

Have you ever put some chicken eggs on a clothes rack as if they were a fashion accessory? Or attached real hair to skis? Artist Alexandra Bircken brings together completely unexpected objects in her sculptures and makes us think about them in a whole new way. Sometimes she also cuts through things so that we can see what lies inside and was hidden by the outer shell. Poems, too, repeatedly combine words that at first glance don't belong together, but do in the poem. And lyrical texts also often direct their gaze to people's interior or go to the core of things. In the poetry workshop, poet Lisa Goldschmidt will first explore with you what is inside and what interests you outside (and in Alexandra Bircken’s exhibition), and then show you how to combine the impressions, feelings, observations, and memories into your own poems.
