Description

SOUND COMBINES

In the workshop we want to create pictures that sound. We will create collages with different materials on wooden panels. We will also incorporate everyday objects, rubber elements and metal parts with which we can create experimental sounds.

Inspired by John Cage’s prepared instruments and Robert Rauschenberg’s “Combines,” we will create objects between collage and sound art.

The workshop will take place in the ticket-free area in the Factory room (lower level) and will be run by Valentin Penninger. He studied sound art in Munich and is active as a cultural mediator and musician in the socio-cultural collective pong & pengo, among others.

THE OPEN FACTORY

Every Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m., the intergenerational drop-in format “Open Factory” provides the right setting to get creative with the whole family or with friends. Changing techniques and themes entice you to take part in varied artistic projects, and to stroll through the exhibitions. Whether drawing, painting, using different printing techniques or dancing, whether analog, digital or hybrid—we will take you into the world of colors and shapes and appeal to your imagination and creative spirit.
