Description

POP ART IN MOTION

Dancing dogs, swinging arms, there several pattering feet. In this workshop, we will go in search of poses, repetitions and movements in the works of Keith Haring and Andy Warhol. What happens when we become Pop Art figures ourselves and bring them to life? We can create our very own Pop Art flashmob! The workshop is open to all bodies and ideas – no prior knowledge or experience is required.

The workshop will take place in the special exhibition “Andy Warhol & Keith Haring. Party of Life” (upper level) and is run by Domenica Ewald. She is an interdisciplinary artist, art and movement facilitator, and yoga teacher. She studied theater with a focus on dance and American studies at LMU Munich and graduated with an MA in Arts and Learning from Goldsmiths University in London in 2022. For several years she has been working as a dance and art educator with various artists, theaters, museums and schools, developing educational concepts for interdisciplinary formats and the connection between art and the body.

THE OPEN FACTORY

Every Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m., the intergenerational drop-in format “Open Factory” provides the right setting to get creative with the whole family or with friends. Changing techniques and themes entice you to take part in varied artistic projects, and to stroll through the exhibitions. Whether drawing, painting, using different printing techniques or dancing, whether analog, digital or hybrid—we will take you into the world of colors and shapes and appeal to your imagination and creative spirit.
