Description
ORIGAMI – PLAYING WITH PAPER
“What is origami and is it difficult?” People often answer that origami is the Japanese art of folding paper. In Japan, however, it is a game. Yes, that’s right, a game! And even small children play it. Almost all families in Japan have origami paper at home because it is so much fun. From a simple sheet you can make many different objects. In this workshop we will start simply and create flowers by folding paper.
The workshop is run by Yukiko Murakami-Wagner. She is a trained and certified origami teacher and furoshiki artist. She sells many Japanese design items in her shop “kawaii München.”
THE OPEN FACTORY
Every Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m., the intergenerational drop-in format “Open Factory” provides the right setting to get creative with the whole family or with friends. Changing techniques and themes entice you to take part in varied artistic projects, and to stroll through the exhibitions. Whether drawing, painting, using different printing techniques or dancing, whether analog, digital or hybrid—we will take you into the world of colors and shapes and appeal to your imagination and creative spirit.
