Description
I’ll tell you something you (might not) understand!
This workshop is all about stories and language. How does my language sound to others? And what happens when we mix our languages and create new stories from them?
Using images and photos from the “Carrying” exhibition, you’ll create your own stories and word collages. You can write on your own or with others. Together, we’ll play with sentences in different languages. You know some words, others you might not. Maybe you’ll realize: I understand something that others don’t—and vice versa. You can swap words and “take” new ones with you. This is how we create shared multilingual stories—sometimes like a poem, sometimes like a colorful narrative.
The workshop will take place in the Lounge (upper level) and is run by Fatoş Haug, who has been working in intercultural mediation for many years.
The Open Factory
Every Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m., the intergenerational drop-in format “Open Factory” provides the right setting to get creative with the whole family or with friends. Changing techniques and themes entice you to take part in varied artistic projects, and to stroll through the exhibitions. Whether drawing, painting, using different printing techniques or dancing, whether analog, digital or hybrid—we will take you into the world of colors and shapes and appeal to your imagination and creative spirit.
