Description

In this online children’s workshop in German Sign Language, we invite children between the ages of six and twelve on an eventful expedition through Museum Brandhorst. Together we will explore various works of art. Why are soup cans and superstars hanging on the wall in bright colors? What do the puzzles by the Scottish artist Lucy McKenzie mean? How did the then 80-year-old American artist Cy Twombly paint such giant roses on the canvas? What makes Keith Haring’s stick figures so special?

In the end, we become artists ourselves and try out selected artistic techniques.

Museum Signers are deaf people trained in the communication of art and culture. The children’s workshop is aimed at persons who use German Sign Language as their first or second language. The children’s workshop will not be translated.

When your registration is confirmed you will receive a link to the online offer and also a list of materials. After all, our workshops are not only about listening and watching, but also doing and making.
