Description
In this workshop the participants will become familiar with the painterly qualities in McKenzie’s works. The focus is on the illusionism of surfaces and textures. What meaning does architecture have for us and what meaning does it have for McKenzie? Afterwards, we will go to Maxvorstadt to collect surfaces photographically. This district is particularly suitable for the purpose, as the architecture there is characterized by classicistic urban expansion, the destruction of the Second World War and subsequent reconstruction, but also by the gentrification of recent years, thus making the area especially diverse. The collected surfaces will be printed, collaged and combined with drawings in the museum.
