Description

Museum Brandhorst is participating in Munich’s Flower Power Festival with an exhibition inspired by Cy Twombly’s rose paintings. Based on Twombly’s poetically conceived subjects such as death, freedom, loneliness, and eroticism, the show also presents works by other artists, including Jennifer Packer, Ellsworth Kelly, Georgia O'Keeffe, Gabriele Münter, and Claude Monet. The guided tour introduces selected works and explains the motivation that led numerous artists for centuries to deal with the representation of flowers.

In cooperation with the Münchner Volkshochschule
