Description

On Wednesday 28 October, 7.00pm the artists' mini-series Bloodless will be shown

Set in candy colored tones, the dark and deadpan stories in Anna McCarthy’s and fellow artist Paulina Nolte’s vegetarian TV series BLOODLESS react to current travesties in a lost-in-reverie kind of way. On the occasion of the premiere of BLOODLESS POOL and BLOODLESS BRANDHORST all three parts will be shown in the evening. The artists will be present.

BLOODLESS BOUTIQUE, 2019
Digital video, colour, sound, approx. 5 min.
Two slightly snobby ladies and a handbag in a bizarre-surreal shop scene. The first part of Anna McCarthy and Paulina Nolte's BLOODLESS series revolves around the sensitive soul of a luxury leather handbag and sets the tone for the sequels.

BLOODLESS POOL, 2020
Digital video, colour, sound, approx. 10 min.
In summer 2020 the second episode of the series was created, in which the protagonists lead the audience into aquamarine blue abysses.

BLOODLESS BRANDHORST, 2020
Digital video, colour, sound, approx. 15 min.
In the third part of their film series Anna McCarthy and Paulina Nolte transform themselves into vampires and the Brandhorst Museum into a scene of mysterious events. BLOODLESS BRANDHORST was commissioned by Museum Brandhorst and will be premiered on the occasion of Kino der Kunst: "Welcome to reality, Madame."

The film screening will take place in the Ernst von Siemens-Auditorium at Pinakothek der Moderne.

The three films of the BLOODLESS series will be available in the media library of our website from 29 October.
