Description

What if works of art could come to life? In this workshop, we will experiment with three-dimensional shapes that we have designed after visiting an exhibition together. We combine these with robotic elements. We will create figures that are placed on motorized gadgets and put into moving emotional states using a digital tool. How can feelings be represented in motion? Can figures be made to speak through movement alone?

The workshop will be led by art historian and art educator Dr. Barbara Dabanoğlu. She did her doctorate on Cy Twombly's sculptures and was a research assistant in the art education department at Museum Brandhorst during the exhibition project "Future Bodies from a Recent Past". She has developed numerous analog and digital workshop formats and designed the inclusive youth project "Kunstlinge" for the Pinakotheken.
