Description
COLORFUL SELF-PORTRAITS
What defines me and my world? How can I portray myself or others in it? In this workshop, we will get to the bottom of these questions creatively. Andy Warhol and Keith Haring often used photos to show themselves and others in their artwork. We’ll do the same: use a photo of yourself or your friends as a basis. Use transparent paper and simple, strong lines to create an expressive image. Then we will work on it further. Using colored paper, shapes and cut-out pictures from magazines, we will turn it into a unique portrait. Create a picture that shows what makes you or others special.
The workshop will take place in the ticket-free area of the Factory space (lower level) and is run by artist Janna Jirkova.
ABOUT THE KIDS’ FACTORY
The Kids’ Factory is an offer for you kids. Every Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. you can get creative there according to your mood. Changing techniques and themes entice you to take part in varied and age-appropriate artistic activities. Whether drawing, painting, using different printing techniques or dancing, whether analog, digital or hybrid—we will take you into the world of colors and shapes and appeal to your imagination and creative spirit. Please bring your parents along to accompany you. You can join in at any time.
