ABSTRACT STORIES
What inspires the artists of Museum Brandhorst in their works? It is travel memories, special places, feelings, experiences, mythological legends?
Inspired by the abstract language of form in Cy Twombly’s works, we will tell our own stories in our self-designed sketchbooks. With the help of decalcomania, a color printing technique, we let ourselves be guided by chance. What personal memories will you capture in your sketchbook?
The workshop will be run by freelance artist Elli Hurst. In her work, she explores natural structures and the properties of surfaces. Nature forms the basis of her artistic creative process and the source of her inspiration. The complexity, form and color of natural materials are the focus of her work.
