Description

The tour is designed especially for visitors with babies. We recommend the use of a baby sling or similar.

Anarchic, ironic, affectionate and brilliantly executed: The works of Nicole Eisenman (*1965) invite us to engage with contemporary painting and sculpture without academic hurdles, directly and unmistakably. In this large show, we encounter an enormous creative range, from the beginnings in the New York art scene of the 1990s to the present day. The figures and scenes humorously and grippingly negotiate queerness and pop culture. They deconstruct ideal-typical body images and are critical homages to art history. Political-social developments since the turn of the millennium, especially in the USA, and the self-questioning of the artist’s status are further motifs that await us on the one-hour tour.

With our overview tours we invite you into the world of contemporary art. In 60 minutes you will get to know important, trend-setting positions. We introduce you to the most important concepts, answer your questions, and allow an open dialog to develop.
