Description
Stories have always served as a means to familiarize us with new inventions and potential developments. Through stories, we can ask ourselves questions such as: “What if?” or “Imagine there were...?” Together we want to think up technological futures and tell little stories about them. These stories are about your friend the robot, a world without borders, and much more.
The workshop will be run by our colleague Dr. Beat Rossmy. The number of participants is limited. If you wish to reserve a place for your child, please register at buchung@pinakothek.de. Possible workshop languages: German, English.
Kunstvermittlungsprogramm zur Sonderausstellung „Future Bodies from a Recent Past"
Our bodies have evolved constantly over thousands of years. New technologies lead to new circumstances and conditions to which our bodies adapt. But beyond that, bodies can now be actively changed. Together we will speculate on how a symbiosis of technology and humans will shape our future bodies, and translate these ideas sculpturally into viewable designs. How do our hands change when they operate smartphone and touchscreens every day? How does our brain change when all the knowledge in the world is just a few clicks away?
The workshop will be run by art educator Urte Ehlers. The number of participants is limited. If you wish to reserve a place, please register at buchung@pinakothek.de. Possible workshop languages: German, English.
The art education program accompanying the special exhibition “Future Bodies from a Recent Past” was developed as part of “dive in. Programme for Digital Interactions” of the Kulturstiftung des Bundes (German Federal Cultural Foundation) with funding by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media (BKM) through the NEUSTART KULTUR programme.
The program was also generously supported by PIN. Freunde der Pinakothek der Moderne e.V.
