Description
Factory After Work is your creative hangout spot in the early evening at Museum Brandhorst. Every last Thursday of the month, starting at 5 p.m., you can get creative in a variety of workshops, listen to music, enjoy drinks and snacks in the café, and meet new people—all in a relaxed atmosphere. It’s free and no prior experience is required!
Let yourself be inspired! The exhibitions are open at the regular admission price. In addition, guided tours and dialogues invite you to discover the museum and its art.
Screen printing workshop
In this workshop you will learn the techniques of screen printing. You can try out how screen printing works at various stations. Using scissors and paper, you will first create your print template: stars, figures, letters—or whatever you can think of. These pieces of paper are arranged on the print sheet. An open screen is then placed on top and the ink is pressed through it with a special tool, the squeegee: your screen print is finished! Paper is provided. You are also welcome to bring a shirt, a cloth bag, a dress or other fabrics. Please note that our inks adhere best to natural fibers.
The workshop will take place in the ticket-free area of the café and is run by the artist Matt Wiegele.
