Description
We produce a sheer flood of digital information, data and electronic waste every day. Like flotsam, these drift through the internet as relics of digital anthropogenic activity, and electronic waste floods landfills and poorer countries. But what actually happens to these residues of the networked self? What can a sustainable approach to data and computers look like? On the basis of selected artworks from the exhibition "Future Bodies from a Recent Past", we critically discuss what remains as a consequence of highly technological bodies, and try to breathe a second life into these relics.
The workshop will be run by:
17 November, 22 December: artist Janna Jirkova, possible workshop languages: German, English.
