Description
The guided format “Walkthrough” is a shared walk to selected locations and artworks. We ask: How do the different perspectives of the artists overlap and intertwine? First, we look at the large-scale paintings of Jaune Quick-to-See Smith in direct dialogue with Cy Twombly’s “Lepanto” cycle. Afterwards, we go outdoors to see the works of Kate Newby and Tiffany Sia. After a brief visit to what is known as the “Türkentor” (Turks’ Gate), where works by Louise Lawler and Walter De Maria are situated, we end the walk in the Cosmos, the media room in the basement of the museum, and together watch the filmic work of Cana Bilir-Meier.
