Description
In our series "At First Hand", specialists in art history and restoration, who work with the works of art in our collections on a daily basis, will guide you through current exhibitions at the Museum Brandhorst.
In this tour director Achim Hochdörfer introduces the artist Cy Twombly.
As part of “Forever Young” Cy Twombly is celebrated on the museum’s upper floor in a new presentation. In addition to a a prominent new acquisition from Twombly’s very last series, “Camino Real” (2011), his “Rosensaal” (hall of roses) can be seen once again in its original form as envisioned by the artist. His stunning “Lepanto” cycle can also be viewed, in the purpose-built space on the Museum Brandhorst’s upper floor.
