Description

How does the collision between objects create meaning? Haris Epaminonda (*1980) joins Museum Brandhorst for a wide-ranging conversation focused on her artistic practice. Epaminonda’s work is based on the principles of montage, in which objects are brought into collision to produce new meanings and narratives. Her work encompasses film, photography, and sculpture. When installed, Epaminonda’s works can emerge anew based on the balance between her vision and the context in which the objects and elements she has on hand find themselves in. Epaminonda  co-represented Cyprus at the 52nd Venice Biennale (2007) and  her works were on view in numerous solo and group exhibitions around the world.  She was awarded the Silver Lion award at 58th International Art Exhibition, Venice Biennale (2019).
