Description

The current exhibition presentation shows a selection of Andy Warhol’s works that deal with the theme of repetition. In addition to portraits, these include iconic motifs, for example from the late series inspired by Leonardo da Vinci’s “Last Supper” or the “Camouflages”. Warhol’s „Round Marilyn“ from 1962 meets „Round Jackie“ from 1964 – a juxtaposition of iconic female figures of the 60s that allows questions to be raised about the dark side of fame and glamour.
