Description
The art market, graffiti and glamor, but also AIDS and a very conservative society: this was the environment in which Andy Warhol and Keith Haring met in New York in the 1980s. “Party of Life” is the first international exhibition dedicated to the friendship and exchange between the two artists.
The tour immerses us in the New York of the 1980s and the art of Warhol and Haring. You will get to know some of their most famous works and style. They repeatedly broke out of the art world of the time: sometimes one, sometimes the other, sometimes together they designed record covers, posters, t-shirts, subway billboards, TV shows, bicycles and even a racing car. Despite the huge age difference of 30 years, they shared acquaintances and friends, topics and worries, and they spurred each other on artistically. Find out on this guided tour what drove Warhol and Haring and what they had in common, ask questions, and exchange views.
