Description
Once a month we invite a special guest to give a talk and open up new perspectives on art. Whether after university or work, or simply to get in the mood for the evening: selected works or themes from our current exhibitions are combined with personal impressions and experiences—first in front of the artworks, then afterwards in a relaxed atmosphere in the café.
Today Heinrich Buddenberg is our guest. He practices a special way of perceiving artworks: image contemplation. For him, this offers a way to grasp the present moment in dialog with art. With his method, he wants to encourage museum visitors to dare to develop their own gaze and to enter into a silent dialog with the artwork. As Kant might have said: Have the courage to face your emotion. We invite you to learn more about this together in the midst of Cy Twombly’s works.
