Description

Relax while experiencing a work of art. We focus on a single work whose sensual effect accompanies us into the evening. There’s no pressure to gain knowledge or to get involved; rather, empathy and dialog are encouraged. After a while we move to ZEBRA, our museum café, where we deepen the conversation and have the opportunity to get to know each other. Because art is all about exchange.

Alexandra Bircken: “RSV 4,” 2020

The split-open racing superbike is an eye-catcher for many in the Patio, the large hall where the exhibition begins. The elaborate technical realization draws the eye to its inner workings, the organs of the machine, and at the same time opens up a space for discussion. The incision through the motorbike makes it unusable, a dead specimen. Does this slow down or accelerate the myth of power and speed?
