The documentary “The Collaborators: Cage, Cunningham & Rauschenberg” (1987) shows a conversation between John Cage, Merce Cunningham, and Robert Rauschenberg with the dance historian David Vaughan. They talk about their joint work—about the interplay of music, choreography, and visual art, as well as the experience of touring and performing together. Their discussion is complemented by archival footage from their collaborative works, including “Travelogue” (1977), “Antic Meet” (1958), and “Minutiae” (1954).
