after the dismantling of Isaac Julien’s multimedia installation "Ten Thousand Waves", "Riverside" (2009), a work by the young Belgian video artist David Claerbout, will soon be on show in the museum’s Media Room on the lower level.
From the end of January onwards, Andy Warhol’s group of works “Shadows” and “Rorschachs” will be exhibited a first in the ground floor at the Museum Brandhorst. Several exceptional works in the Collection will be on show until April under the title “Shadows and Patterns”.
Preparations are well underway behind the scenes in the museum for the major Georg Herold exhibition opening in April 2012. Apart from several multiples held in the Collection, the famous caviar pictures and more recent sculptures will be shown.
And, finally, we would like to point out a change to Museum Regulations. As of 1 January, 2012, photography will no longer be permitted inside the Museum Brandhorst in order to help conserve the works of art. Thank you for your appreciation in this matter.
