The impressive gallery on the upper floor was especially designed for the monumental work Lepanto (2001) by Cy Twombly .
In the so-called Patio, the spacious gallery on the lower floor, paintings by Andy Warhol are juxtaposed with objects by Damien Hirst. On display are also works by Sigmar Polke, Jeff Koons, Ed Ruscha and David LaChapelle.
On display in the grand gallery are works Twombly painted in his Gaeta (Italy) studio in 2008. They center on the motif and theme of the rose. The artist found inspiration in poems by Rilke, Emily Dickinson, T.S. Eliot, among others, which he modified before including them in the paintings.
The installation of the work The Fragile on its cloak (2007) was supervised by the Franz West himself in this ground floor gallery.
