Art historian, curator, and gay-rights activist Douglas Crimp is regarded as one of the most influential intellectuals of our time. His legendary 'Pictures' exhibition at Artists Space in New York in 1977 defined the creative practice of an entire generation of artists. He is the author 'Our kind of Movie: The Films of Andy Warhol', a standard reference book on Warhol’s cinematographic work. In his lecture he will talk about the silent movies 'Haircut', 'Blow Job', and 'Maria Banana' of 1963/64.
